ABC Trading Squishy Toys Recall
ABC Trading has recalled about 37,000 Squishy Dumpling and Crazy Squib Ball toys. The water beads inside can expand larger than permitted, posing ingestion, choking and intestinal obstruction hazards.

What matters now
- The recalled toys contain glitter and water beads and come in multiple translucent colors.
- Affected models are 3655 for Squishy Dumpling and 3984 for Crazy Squib Ball.
- No incidents or injuries were reported.
- Consumers should stop using the toys immediately and contact ABC Trading for a full refund.
Why the toys were recalled
The toys violate the mandatory safety standard because their water beads expand larger than permitted. If ingested, a bead can pose ingestion, choking and intestinal obstruction hazards inside a child’s body, potentially causing severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and death.
How to identify the toys
Squishy Dumpling toys, model 3655, have a cartoon face and come in multiple translucent colors with glitter and water beads. They are packaged in a tan plastic container shaped like a bamboo steamer, with “SQUISHY DUMPLING” on the removable label. The toy itself has no marking other than the cartoon face. Crazy Squib Ball toys, model 3984, also come in multiple translucent colors with glitter and water beads. Each is wrapped in white netting, and its package says “CRAZY SQUIB BALL” and “Squeeze it! Throw it!”
Where and when they were sold
The toys were sold at ABC Trading stores in Los Angeles, California, and other stores nationwide from April through June 2026. They cost between 41 cents and $1.25. ABC Trading Inc. of Vernon, California, imported the toys, which were manufactured in China.
