CuberShop Magnetic Stickerless Speed Cubes Recalled Over Magnet Ingestion Hazard
CPSC announced a recall of about 132 CuberShop Magnetic Stickerless Speed Cubes because they were packaged with loose high-powered magnets, posing an ingestion hazard to children.

What matters now
- The affected product is the CuberShop Magnetic Stickerless Speed Cube, model YJ MGC 5×5.
- The packaging included spare high-powered magnets in a separate sealed plastic bag.
- Consumers should take the recalled loose magnets away from children and stop using them immediately.
- SKY CUBE HK is offering a $5 refund for the magnets. Consumers may keep the cube.
Why the magnets are hazardous
Swallowed high-powered magnets can attract each other or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive system. This can cause perforations, twisting or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death.
How to identify the recalled cube
The handheld 5×5 mechanical puzzle cube consists of interlocking plastic pieces and has six colored sides. The “MGC” logo is printed in the center of the cube, while “MGC” and “5x5” are printed on the box. The packaging included spare magnets in a separate sealed plastic bag.
Where and when it was sold
About 132 cubes were sold online at Amazon.com from April through June 2025 for between $20 and $25. SKY CUBE HK, of China, imported the product, which was manufactured in China.
