Small Fish Montessori Busy Board Toys Recalled Over Magnet Ingestion Hazard
CPSC has recalled about 1,013 Small Fish Montessori Busy Board toys because magnets can detach and pose a potentially deadly ingestion hazard. The recall covers model 2512JX02, sold on Amazon from March through May 2026.

How to identify the recalled toy
The recalled toy consists of a wooden base with six multicolored, removable square activity panels. The panels include a flipping mirror, abacus, finger spinner, spinning gear, rain maker and bead maze. Look for “Montessori Busy Board” and model number “2512JX02” on labels on the back of the package.
Why the busy board was recalled
CPSC says magnets can detach from the busy board, violating the mandatory safety standard for toys. If high-powered magnets are swallowed, they can attract one another or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive system. This can cause intestinal perforations, twisting or blockage, blood poisoning and death.
Where and when it was sold
About 1,013 recalled busy boards were sold online at Amazon.com from March through May 2026 for about $16. Lesonic Technology Co., Ltd., doing business as Small Fish, distributed the toys. They were manufactured in China.
