How to identify the recalled toy
The recalled toy is translucent pink and contains glitter and water beads. It has a cartoon face and comes in a tan plastic container shaped like a bamboo steamer. The removable package label says “Rainbow MYSTERY” and “SUGAR EDITION.” The toy itself has no markings other than the cartoon face. Its model number is D08004.
Why the toy was recalled
The water beads inside the squishy dumpling expand larger than permitted, causing the toy to violate the mandatory safety standard for toys. If swallowed, a water bead can pose ingestion, choking and intestinal obstruction hazards inside a child’s body. Possible consequences include severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and death.
