Why the toys were recalled
The toys violate the mandatory safety standard for toys because the water beads inside the dumplings expand larger than permitted. If swallowed, a water bead can create ingestion, choking and intestinal obstruction hazards inside a child’s body. The CPSC says this can result in severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and a risk of death.
How to identify the recalled toy
The recalled Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun is translucent green and contains glitter and water beads. It has a cartoon face and comes in a tan plastic container shaped like a bamboo steamer. “Rainbow MYSTERY” and “SUGAR EDITION” appear on the removable package label. The toy itself has no marking other than the cartoon face.

Various third-party stores nationwide sold the toys from June through July 2026 for about $3. Toyworld168 Inc. of Orlando, Florida, imported the toys, which were manufactured in China.
